Knowing how to make your own tools from steel gives you a heady feeling of power! Make the tools you need for your specific purpose. You'll learn how to shape, harden, and most importantly, temper your tools. You'll begin with commercial tool steel (drill rod), or recycle old dull files, broken punches, chisels, stamps, or other pieces of steel, and end with the tools of your dreams. The tools you make will last a lifetime and give you the joy of making your personalized and unique marks on the metal every time you use them.
