24/03/23 Hinge or Slot Button Covers - VIDEO ONLY
This class was previously recorded on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The recording will be available for students to access through their Little Metal Foxes accounts through 05/23/24.
Instructor: Julia Lowther
Yes, Button Covers! Try upscaling your wardrobe by using this clever adornment for collar decoration instead of a tie, as a faux cufflink to cover a cuff button, or on a coat or fine hand-knitted sweater!
These simple mechanisms will add extra flair, can move from outfit to outfit, are removable for washing, have no fiddly magnets or fasteners, and are perfect gifts for a knitter of cardigans! They can be used at the neckline or as faux cufflinks! The front of your pieces can showcase stones, enamels, etched material, embroidery, or mixed materials.
Julia will demonstrate how to create a step bezel with a tab or hinged mechanism on the back to secure to a button. No need for a brooch, pin back, or bail!
All classes include the video recording, which you will have access to for 30 days after the class runs.
The class supply list is below and contains links to buy the supplies you need.
