There are so many burs! What do they all do? In this workshop, we will discuss, demonstrate, and familiarize students with the wide variety of burs designed for use with the flexible shaft drill or other similar rotary tools. Participants will learn what different shapes and styles, and makes do and how to use them to cut, clean up, add texture, & more. The objective of the class is to give students the knowledge and confidence to use burs with ease. We’ll pay specific attention to what each shape can do so that your work takes on a more professional look and feel. By the end of the course, you’ll be creating higher-quality work with style!
Techniques demonstrated will include patterns and texture, drilling, finishing, alternative handpieces, stone setting burs, wax carving burs, and general usage. I invite your questions! Each person in the class will be working on a sample with more techniques than they can shake a flexshaft at!
All Levels Welcome!
